Our key requirement on adding new markets is that companies have reliable English language reporting. This requirement is met for most important global markets, including all North American and European markets, as well as Australia, New Zealand and Japan (which makes reports available in English in addition to Japanese). We believe the first markets where the language requirement will be a challenge are Hong Kong and domestic China.

Marvin Labs uses a combination of public and private data sources as well as web scraping to access financial texts from companies. We believe we have a mostly complete picture of all publicly available financial texts for the companies we cover. We typically add new texts to our database within a few minutes after publication.

For financial texts available in audio and video (such as earnings calls), we typically add the transcript of the text within a few minutes after the conclusion of the event. Adding live transcripts of the event is a feature we are working on.

We cover a wide range of financial texts, including but not limited to:

  • Regular reports such as annual reports and interim reports (quarterly or semiannual, as applicable in the company's regulatory environment)
  • Press releases
  • Current reports in line with Form 8-K as required by the SEC
  • Transcripts of Earnings Calls
  • Transcripts of Shareholder Meetings such as AGMs and EGMs
  • Transcripts of Investor Conferences, such as those sponsored by sell-side brokerages
  • Transcripts of Keynotes and similar public customer events, such as Apple's WWDC, Google I/O, or Microsoft Build

We typically add new reports to our database within a few minutes after publication. Our average time is less than one minute to have the document available in our database, and around 10 minutes to have it fully processed.

Marvin Labs currently only covers publicly listed companies. We regularly receive requests to cover private companies for a variety of use cases, such as in Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital, and Corporate Lending situations.

We are evaluating adding private companies to our coverage. Having worked with private investments before, we fully understand the data secrecy and security aspects of handling sensitive information such as private company data.

If you are interested in becoming a launch partner for private company coverage, please reach out to to our CEO Alex Hoffmann at alex@marvin-labs.com.
